Our Baby Carr
James "Revell" Carr
Welcome to the world Revell! James Revell Carr made his appearance with hurricane Helene on Friday, 27 September at 7:13PM EDT. He weighed 7lbs 13oz, measured 20", and had a full head of red hair just like his big sister.
During our first weeks with Revell, or as Elizabeth prefers "baby James", we've adapted well to being a family of four. Elizabeth is the doting big sister who loves to show off her baby brother and hold him. We've had some big emotional highs like the first time Elizabeth met her brother and big lows when we had to take Revell to the pediatric ER for a fever that entailed a two-night hospital stay. We are thankful everyone is healthy now and are in awe of how resilient Revell is.
We'll continue to post updates on our family Instagram account @travellingcarrs - if you aren't already following, find more photos there!
Visits & Meal Train
We plan to be in the U.S. through mid-November before heading back to Egypt, and we hope to introduce Revell to as many friends and family as we can while we are here, inshallah. We hope to host friends and family for a Sip and See Barbecue in a few weeks and make trip through Raleigh while we are still in town.
Until then, our family setup another Meal Train for us to schedule visits and meals. Hope to host you in our temporary Ardmore house soon!
James Revell
The name James is for Dreier's grandfather Dr. Henry James Carr Jr. The name Revell comes from Nichole's 4th great grandfather, Revell P. West born in Accomack, Virginia in 1803.
Revell - English: of Norman origin, a nickname for a boisterous person, from Old French revel ‘rebellious’, or perhaps the related noun, Middle English revel ‘rebellion, tumult, revelry’ (Old French reveler ‘to revel’). Alternatively, the name may also arise from the Middle English personal name Revel, itself from the adjective above.
